Written and hosted by the American Chamber Chorale’s Artistic Director and Conductor, Stephen Morton, Behind The Music began airing on Classic 99 in 2009.  Each episode of Behind The Music focuses on a particular piece of great sacred music. Insights are offered into the meaning of the words and how the music supports and underscores the timeless truths expressed in the text. Great recordings are an integral part of the program. Music selected for discussion on the program include works from classical literature, modern anthems, American spirituals, and great hymns of the church.
